Reading this book answered all the questions I had about JPA, and really put it into context with respect to other Java EE technologies.

Best book about JPA avalible. The only criticism I have is that the book quite often feels like you are reading API docs. More than 70 solutions to common Hibernate problems. Thanks for telling us about the problem. It is just beyond annoying that I have to run a separate tool to create source code for stuff that obviously the JPA implementation can figure out on its own.
